Costumer Reviews
My daily workout has mostly been running on the beach sand, but 50-miles per week of this over five years has worn out my Achilles tendons. I wanted to substitute swimming for running, but my apartment building's pool is to small and shallow for laps, and my local health club's pool is always too crowded and a hassle. I was skeptical of this device upon first discovering it, but a LA County lifeguard mentioned to me that he knew of university swim team coaches that hand these out to their team members before summer break, so they can stay in shape wherever they go.
I have been using this for a couple of months, and it has been working great for me, and has definitely been worth the price. Everyone who has seen me using it in our apartment building's pool asked where they can get one.
One caveat: for it to work for me, I had to attach a mountain climbing hook to it, so the end of it can be attached to the pool ladder. Basically, I wrap the bungee once around the ladder handle, and hook it to itself. Out of the box, the end doesn't seem to be designed to attach to anything I know of that is at the edge of a pool. The hook I use is a Petzl Spirit that I bought at an outdoors/camping equipment store for around $5. I recommend you get one when you order this.
Conclusion: this device transforms any swimming pool into a lap pool for exercise, and it is a great value, although one might wish to augment it with a mountain-climbing hook.
I've used a product like this for years and really like it. Great strength training! Regarding the previous review that it's hard to attach, actually it's easy. Wrap the cord around any object, like a ladder rung, and run the belt through the loop.
